To put a space in your Free Fire name, copy the invisible non-breaking space character (Unicode U+00A0) and paste it into the in-game name field where you want the gap — or use several copies for a fully blank or invisible name. This guide walks you through every step, on Android and iPhone, plus fixes if it won’t save. Updated 4 July 2026 · tested on OB54.

How to put a space in your Free Fire name (step by step)
You will need a name-change card or about 390 diamonds to edit your nickname. The whole process takes under a minute.
- Copy the invisible space. Tap Copy 1 space above for a single gap, or Copy blank name for a fully empty look. The character copied is the non-breaking space, U+00A0.
- Open Free Fire and go to your profile. Tap your avatar, then the pencil / edit icon next to your current nickname.
- Place the cursor and paste. Tap where you want the gap, long-press, and choose Paste. For a spaced name, type the first word, paste the space, then type the second word.
- Add a visible character if required. If the game rejects a name that is 100% empty, keep at least one letter or paste a few extra spaces so it saves.
- Confirm. Preview the name, then tap OK to apply. Your spaced, blank or invisible name is now live in matches and on the scoreboard.

How to make an invisible or blank name
A blank name and an invisible name use the same trick — just more of the same character. Instead of copying one space, copy several (tap Copy blank name, which gives you six). Paste them as your entire nickname so the name field looks empty on your profile, in the lobby and on the kill feed. If a single block of spaces is refused, split it with one visible character or add a couple more.
Android, iPhone & Free Fire MAX
The steps are identical on every platform because the U+00A0 character is standard Unicode. On Android and iPhone, copy from this page and long-press to paste. In Free Fire MAX, the name field behaves the same as regular Free Fire, so the same spaced, blank and invisible names work there too. No app, keyboard trick or rooting is needed.

Free Fire space not working? Quick fixes
- The name won’t save: a 100% empty name is sometimes blocked — add one visible letter or a few more spaces.
- The gap disappeared: a lone space can collapse on some builds. Use Copy 2 spaces for a stronger, wider gap.
- Nothing pasted: re-copy from the button above; make sure you didn’t accidentally trim the invisible character.
- Stopped working after an update: Garena can tighten name rules in an OB patch — this is exactly what happened to the older U+3164 character, which was blocked around OB43. See our live Free Fire space not working status page for the current working character and tested OB version.
FAQ
Which character puts a space in a Free Fire name?
The non-breaking space, Unicode U+00A0. It is verified working on the current build (OB54). An older method used U+3164 (Hangul Filler), but Garena blocked it around OB43, so U+00A0 is the one to use now.
Is it safe to use a space or blank name in Free Fire?
Yes. You are pasting a normal public Unicode character (U+00A0) into the game’s own name field, not using a hack or mod. It does not modify the game, so it does not trigger the anti-cheat rules that lead to bans.
Do I need diamonds to add a space?
You need a name-change card or about 390 diamonds to edit your nickname. Copying the space from this page is free.
Can I put a space in the middle of my name?
Yes. Type the first part of your name, paste one or two U+00A0 characters, then type the rest. This creates a visible gap that splits your nickname into two floating words.
