What is the Free Fire space?
The “Free Fire space” is an invisible Unicode character that the Free Fire name field accepts but displays as blank. The character currently verified to work is the non-breaking space, U+00A0. Because it counts as a valid character, you can use it to put a gap inside your nickname, split it into two floating words, or make the whole name look empty. It is an ordinary public whitespace character from the Unicode standard, not a cheat, mod or exploit, so using it will not put your account at risk.
Note on the character: an older method used U+3164 (Hangul Filler), but Garena blocked that character around the OB43 update, so it no longer works. This tool uses U+00A0, the space verified working on the current build. This is exactly the kind of change we track for you.
How to add a space or invisible name in Free Fire

- Copy the space. Tap any Copy button in the tool above — start with “Copy 1 space” for a gap, or “Copy blank name” for a fully empty look.
- Open Free Fire. Go to your profile and tap the pencil / edit icon next to your nickname.
- Paste it in. Long-press the name field and choose Paste. For a spaced name, type your word, paste the space, then type the next word.
- Add a visible letter if needed. If the game rejects a 100% empty name, keep at least one real character or a few extra spaces so it saves.
- Confirm. Preview the name and tap OK to apply. Your new spaced, blank or invisible name is live.
Space, blank & invisible name — what’s the difference
- Space in name: one or two U+00A0 characters placed inside your nickname to create a visible gap, e.g. two words that appear to float apart.
- Blank / empty name: several U+00A0 characters only, so the name field looks empty on your profile and scoreboard.
- Invisible name: similar to blank, using multiple spaces so no letters show — great for a stealth, ghost-like profile.
- Single vs multiple spaces: more space characters widen the gap. Use “Copy 2 spaces” or “Copy 3 spaces” for a bigger split.
A blank or spaced name adds a clean, mysterious, minimalist touch and makes your profile stand out from the crowd. Keep it at least a little recognisable so squadmates can still find you on the team screen.
Does the Free Fire space trick still work?
Yes — as of our last in-game check on OB54 (updated 4 July 2026), the U+00A0 space and blank-name method still works in the Free Fire and Free Fire MAX name fields. Because U+00A0 is a normal Unicode whitespace character rather than an exploit, it is accepted by the name field. Name validation is handled server-side, though, so a future OB patch could change the rules — just as the older U+3164 character was blocked around OB43.
