Yes — the Free Fire space still works, but only with the right character. As of our last in-game test on OB54 (4 July 2026), a blank or spaced name works when you use the non-breaking space U+00A0. If your Free Fire space suddenly stopped working, it is almost always because you used the old U+3164 character, which Garena blocked around OB43. Here’s the current status and how to fix it.

Free Fire space status by character
Different “invisible” characters have different fates as Garena updates the game. This is what we see in-game right now:
| Character | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| U+00A0 — non-breaking space | ✔ Working | Verified in the name field on OB54. This is the character our tool copies. |
| U+3164 — Hangul Filler | ✖ Blocked | The old classic. Garena blocked it around OB43, so it no longer saves — this is the #1 reason a space “stopped working”. |
| Plain space / U+2800 Braille blank | ✖ Unreliable | A normal space is trimmed; U+2800 is inconsistent across builds. Not recommended. |

Why the Free Fire space stops working
The name field is checked on Garena’s servers, and that check changes with updates. When many players report the “space not working” at the same time, it usually means a patch tightened the rules or blocked a specific character — exactly what happened to U+3164 around OB43. Because U+00A0 is an ordinary, widely used whitespace character, it is far less likely to be singled out, but no invisible-name method is guaranteed forever. That is why we date every test.
Free Fire space not working? Fixes that work
- Switch to U+00A0. If you saved an old U+3164 name, re-do it with the button above — U+3164 no longer works.
- Add a visible character. A 100% empty name is sometimes rejected. Keep one letter or symbol, or paste a few extra spaces.
- Use two spaces instead of one. A single space can be trimmed; tap “Copy 2 spaces” for a stronger gap.
- Re-copy cleanly. Copy straight from the button so you don’t accidentally lose the invisible character.
- Check back after a patch. If a new OB update broke it, we post the current working character and tested OB version at the top of this page.

FAQ
Does the Free Fire space still work in 2026?
Yes. On OB54 (our last test on 4 July 2026), a blank or spaced name works using the non-breaking space, U+00A0. The older U+3164 character no longer works because Garena blocked it around OB43.
Why did my invisible name suddenly stop working?
You most likely used U+3164, which was blocked in an update. Redo your name with U+00A0 (copy it above). If a fully empty name is refused, add one visible character.
Will using the space get me banned?
No. U+00A0 is a standard public Unicode character pasted into the game’s own name field, not a hack or mod, so it does not break the anti-cheat rules that cause bans.
Which OB version was this tested on?
OB54, the current build as of 4 July 2026. We re-test after every major OB update and refresh the date and working character at the top of this page.
FreeFireSpace is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Garena or Free Fire. The space is a public Unicode character and may change status after a future update.
